Carpigiani is an Italian company located near Bologna, specializing in the production of ice cream and gelato machines.
Carpigiani was founded in 1944 by brothers Bruto and Poerio Carlo Carpigiani.
It stood out for the production and patent of the «Autogelatiera» gelato machine. In the 1960s, it became a world leader in ice cream machinery with the invention of the «hard-o-matic».
Expansion and Certification: Over the years, Carpigiani has grown and expanded internationally. In 1993, it was the first company in its sector to receive ISO 9001:1987 certification.

Carpigiani was founded in 1944 by brothers Bruto and Poerio Carlo Carpigiani.

In 2003, Carpigiani founded the Gelato University
a prestigious vocational training school in artisanal gelato production. By 2021, it had established itself as the largest and most prestigious worldwide in its field. In addition, in 2012, they opened the Carpigiani Gelato Museum, dedicated entirely to gelato.
